Q:What exactly takes place at the event?

Please arrive on time!

Upon arrival, check in with the Great Fellowship Host, who will give you a welcome package containing a name tag, a list of people seated at your table, and a list of all the people attending, along with Suggested Questions and Topics to help keep conversations flowing.

When you arrive back home we ask that you log on to the Great Fellowship web site and email people you found interesting within 24 hours. Also, when you receive emails we ask that you reply within 24 hours.

Q:What time do the events start, and how long do they last?

6:30 - 6:55 Check in, put on your name tag, and mingle.
6:55 - 7:00 Welcome and explanation of rules.
7:00 - 8:00 Introductions to new people seated at your table.
8:00 - 9:00 Fabulous Dinner.

Q:Why does the event start 20-30 minutes after you ask us to arrive?

A:We ask people to arrive early so we have time to check everyone in. After you check in you can have a soft drink, and mingle with some other people who have arrived at the event.

Q:Do you accept walk-ins?

A:Advance registration is required for those who will be participating in the introductions. However, if a person wants to participate in the dinner and entertainment phase of the event we will accept walk-ins. The Event Host will provide a Late Registration form if we are able to accept walk-ins.

Q:Do I have to use a credit card? Can I send a check or pay cash at the door?

A: To register for an event, it is required that you use a credit card. card.

Q:Is entering my credit card information on the Internet safe?

A:We use the latest encryption technology to process all credit card transactions. Your personal information including credit card info is taken very seriously at Great Fellowship.

Q:The registration form asks for personal information, is any of this information given to anyone else? If not, what information IS given to the other person?

A:Great Fellowship does not share or sell the personal information of its members. The only information we provide other attendees is your first name.

Q: Do I have to use my real name?

A: At an event, most people will use their real first name, and we don't use your last name. However, if you prefer not to disclose your first name, you can use any name you like. Just keep in mind that the name you use will be on your name tag and people you meet will refer to you by that name.

Q: How do you determine which table I will sit at?

A: We track who sat at your table in the past and then make every attempt to seat new people at your table.

Q: What should I talk about at a Great Fellowship event?

A: Relax, smile, and enjoy yourself! Your host will provide you with a question sheet just in case you can't think of what to talk about.

Q:What should I not talk about at a Great Fellowship event?

A:In order to create a safe, fun, comfortable evening, there are some subjects you should avoid.

  • Don't ask anyone for their contact information including their phone number, last name, e-mail address, business card, or their address.
If you meet someone who you would like to see again, you may inform them that you'll be emailing them through the Great Fellowship web site, if they are interested they will send you a reply email. Remember, everyone at the event is interested in meeting people.

Q: What should I wear at a Great Fellowship event?

A: Remember, dress to impress so wear something that makes you feel comfortable and please, no jeans or sneakers!

Q: Can a divorced person attend a Great Fellowship event?

A: Yes.

Q:I am separated but not yet divorced. Can I participate?

A: If you are looking for a fun evening you are welcome to attend. Just be forewarned that not everyone will feel comfortable with your situation.

Q:How much does an event cost?

A: The events range in price, please check by clicking Event Registration where the event details are listed.

Q:Will drinks be provided at the event?

A: Most Great Fellowship events will provide appetizers or refreshments when you arrive and most Great Fellowship events are non-alcoholic.

Q:Will there be enough men/women there for me to meet?

A: All events will have men and women to meet and fellowship with, we make every attempt to seat at least one new person whom you've never met at your table.

Q:I cannot attend the upcoming event, can I have a friend take my place?

A: When you are confirmed for an event, our system automatically sets up your email name and password as the "attendee". This means that reminders will be sent to your email, and people who meet your friend will be emailing you. Because of the uniqueness of the Great Fellowship system, your friend will need to sign up separately.

Q:I am older than the ages listed for an event. Can I still attend?

A: We don't check IDs at the event, but we do want our participants to be "age appropriate". If you feel that most people in this age group would be interested in meeting someone your age, then feel free to sign up for that age group.

Q:What happens if bad weather is forecast for the evening of the event?

A:In the event of inclement weather the Event Host will decide if the event will be postponed. Should this happen, participants will be notified via e-mail, and given a choice of either receiving a refund or a credit amount equal to the price paid for a ticket to be held for a future event.

Q:Can I get a refund?

A: The registration agreement explains that we do not offer refunds once Confirmation emails have been sent except when an event gets postponed.

Q:Can you change my email address that you have on file?

A: Please log in to the web site and click "Profile" in order to change your personal information. Once you've changed your information, click "Update" to save the changes.

A: Please log in to the web site and click "Profile" and uncheck the appropriate promotion box.

Q:What should I do after a Great Fellowship event?

A: Log back into Great Fellowship, and using the list of attendees provided in your welcome package, begin communicating with other people. After logging in you'll be taken to the Members Area Home Page, click "Messaging" and send an email. Note: Email messages are sent through the Great Fellowship safe and anonymous email system. No one will ever know any of your personal information such as last name, phone number, etc. until you provide it to them.
